Buck Jones back with Colombia Pictures affiliates feels more at home than with his stint with Universal. To help with the happy feel, they filled in as much comedy as they possibly could in between the shooting and horse chases. It's still the same B-western formula they used in the 1930s, but at least it felt a little bit more inspired than the soulless ones Buck did at Universal.
