A fine colonial drama from Universal, collecting a high quality cast and doing a respectable job of it. Where it fails is in reaching any emotional peaks and dwells a little on the dull side regardless of the actors efforts. Production wise it tries to use outdoor action combined with studio scenes. But when you have such actors as Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Basil Rathbone and even the grand old man C. Aubrey Smith, then you know it'll be a satisfying adventure regardless of any shortcomings.
