The Sundowners (1950) is a unique low budget movie shot on location taking advantage of the rugged Texas landscape. Because of it the production is a little rough, especially in the sound department, throwing off vibes of a amateur production. Yet, with the actors chosen and their effort, along with its different vibe this brings, it becomes quite fascinating. Didn't hurt that the delivery felt fairly fresh as the plot kept unveiling itself. But also easy to dismiss it as bad throw-away western
