Aside from the 70's post-"Jaws"(1975) craze of "when-nature-attacks" horror movies, the decade also saw the small sub-genre of "killer bees" become a thing. The first to buzz into theaters was this infamously bad 70's disaster Bee-movie, which sadly is just a boring slog of nonsense with some cheap laughs sprinkled throughout. However the garbage fire script, stops referring to them as "African killer bees", but just describes them as "Africans", which makes for plenty of uncomfortable dialogue

Michael Caine yells a lot and people fight huge swarms of bees with flamethrowers. Sold.

Way duller than it should’ve been.

This is the cheesiest and dumbest of the Bee Scare films, it also takes itself way too seriously. Lastly, this was about an hour too long, 144 minutes, seriously?

So I may have seen this back in the late 70s, and it should have stayed there. Though an all star cast, awful dialogue, acting and plot. Don't bother sorry to say.

The master of disaster himself directs the biggest and funniest of the '70s killer bee movies. An extraordinary roster of stars look silly and get stung. This has lots of second-rate special effects, and its ending is copped from Bert I. Gordon's chintzier but more fun _The Beginning of the End_.

Terrible film. The character played by Michael Caine was a total letdown with poker-faced decisions without any kind of empathy for so many people that lost their lives (within the movie ofcourse). The most disappointment part of all was that right at the very end of the stretched movie Kane gets enlightening knowledge of how to defeat the African bees whereas I am pretty sure many viewers would have cracked the 'mystery' in the first 30minutes of seeing the film.
