Somewhere between Conan, Gor, and Deathstalker lies... whatever this is. Not very good, but it's trashy fun if you're into '80s sword 'n sorcery flicks.

I was about to turn this off then the hero with a sword that's three swords falls into a room of naked women loitering around and I was back into the fray of trying to piece this nonsense together.

probably saw this movie 700 times when I was a kid. I was a stupid kid.

With 90% swords and a paltry 10% sorcerer, I felt the title of this film was grossly misleading. My biggest question was, why would the torturer keep pumping the grindstone's peddle when his head was being forced onto it?

Man, I think this had boobs. If it did that was the only good thing about it.

Trashy Conan-like tale of... erm... sword and sorcery. First saw it in 83 and when I bought the Anchor Bay DVD recently I was thinking: "OK, I like to waste money!" But, nooo... It's really entertaining (If you're into this kind of stuff, that is).

Aesthetically this is on point for an 80s sword and sorcery flick - sets, lighting, costumes, music; all what you want to see/hear. For example the final sword duel with the hero and villain's blades sparking off each other in a smoke-filled chamber, just so! But it's needlessly overcomplicated for this type of 90-minute film, with two main villains, an overlarge and underdeveloped ensemble of heroes, new characters introduced as late as 20 minutes before the end. A visually enjoyable mess.

Even with nostalgia on its side it's undeniably bad. The music is uninspired trash and the gimmick weapon is laughable. What's better than a sword with 3 blades? Well one that can shoot out each blade and inexplicably return intact later in the movie of course. Below average pulp fantasy stuff that doesn't hold up at all. The last 15 minutes of the film has some of the most eye rolling dialog and scenes ever.

An odd, incoherent film (though it looks logical next to Vicious Lips) with the usual bad acting and overcomplicated plot of an Albert Pyun film. The script commits a cardinal narrative sin of not having any likable characters whatsoever, even the protagonists, and by the end you're rooting for the demonic sorcerer to win the kingdom. He seems the least loathsome of the bunch.

The high water mark of Pyan's career... make of that what you will...

The premise and the initial sequence of this flick made the boy in me drool in excitement. An evil king employing the services of an evil sorcerer to top the righteous and peaceful kingship of the good, the prince being exiled, noticing the murder of his father and mother, and thus on a journey of reestablishing justice - oh boy. The three-fold intricacies with the betrayal of the evil sorcerer added political excitement. Alas, the latter part of the film is a standard B-grade sword and sorcery.

This is the same as all the other empty fantasy junk that came out in the wake of "Conan The Barbarian". I like fantasy movies, but this is just poor. The hero is lame and ends up needing saving himself more than once, and the triple bladed sword is beyond ridiculous. Avoid.

Often incoherent but it has a vibe.

Epic Errol Flynn moment is the absolute highlight, in this otherwise rather forgettable fantasy flick, made in the same mold as Red Sonja. The best I've seen from Pyun, though.

This low budget sword&sorcery fantasy film was a huge financial success that launched a career of Albert Pyun who went on to direct another 42 horrible films. Talk about luck! A sword with 3 blades is probably to blame for it all, because that's about all I remember from a film I have just seen.

Bottom of the barrel fantasy flick, but it has its' moments of idiotic, Errol-Flynn-on-steriods-and-smack charm.

Stupid, boring, devoid of character, and surprisingly hard to follow. The only, and I mean ONLY cool part of the movie was the three-bladed sword, which is the only reason people watch this movie, and it's sinfully underused.
