The Target

In a lot of ways, this feels like a Kdrama. From the acting to the melodrama, the way the action is shot, it all just feels so over the top, contrived, and convoluted. There was one surprising scene that bumped my rating a bit but otherwise, this was a watchable mess. Joon-Sang Yoo was the clear standout in this.

Oh wow, it's like korean Liam Neeson movie with lots of heavy melodrama that doesn't shy away from retarded little brother and pregnant wife type of situations. Like the main guy is so cool, when he gazes into the distance Celine Dion starts to play and everything goes into slow motion. I gather it is remake of Pointe Blank, film that I haven't seen, but I suspect it's very different from this action soap.
