O Gosto dos Outros estreava há 20 anos na França. Tratando de como as pessoas se relacionam na faixa em torno dos 40 anos eu prontamente de alguma forma deveria ter me identificado com ele, mas definitivamente esse não é meu tipo de filme. BlurayRip ROUGH.

Anne Alvaro and Agnès Jaoui were both tantalizing and enjoyable. The plot meandered and the message was too subtle. A few side plots seemed to serve little purpose. Sometimes amusing and engaging and a dash of clever writing, but many missed opportunities to be better and more enjoyable. In the end, it gives too little, and expects you to be satisfied with a smile.

Enjoyable and reasonably charming. I can kind of see what it's getting at, but there's nothing particularly special about it and there isn't a whole lot to it.

Fluid and realistic film-making. Instead of stumbling through some hokey plot, the film presents us with a slice of the lives of a group of fun, lifelike characters. Jean-Jacques Castella is a truly memorable character.

The movie manages to be amusing throughout its length. This is mainly because of the realistic and believable characters and their interactions. It's basically just an above average romcom, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Not exactly a likeable group of characters, but still it manages to be an interesting story and have some good laughs too.

Good, charming, interesting but a little slight.

A really delightful and charming picture. Perhaps there is a little lack of depth, but I have to admit it didn't worry me as I found this just a real treat to watch.

I have such a soft spot for this, as it gets at something near and dear to my heart--the real beauty in learning from people different than ourselves. That the film is able to accomplish this vision while being consistently clever, inventive, and funny only makes it all the more enjoyable.
