The Terror of Tiny Town

Terror of Tiny Town is surprisingly good, a straight up western staring midgets. Sure, there's a few gags here and there, but for the most part I rather thought this film was respectful and very entertaining.

It would be one thing if there were good acting in this movie. There is not.

Not the greatest western, but still a unique experiment. Also notable for not seeming exploitative of the actors.

As a western populated solely by dwarfs, this was always destined to be a unique little curio. The gimmick makes for reasonably entertaining viewing, and the clumsy comedy and bad acting certainly help this. Unfortunately it can't help but feel fairly exploitative by its very nature.

The novelty alone makes this a MUST SEE picture! A midget western! Doing exactly what a regular sized person would have done in one of these 1930s low budget cowboy flicks. But since these are all little people one keep smile at it. Politically incorrect, I know, but so SO awesome!

Sure, a bad western's a bad western, but rarely has the combination of craven filmmaking and a cast's total earnestness so transcended pedestrian pap. (It's all in the doors.)

I know a masterpiece when I see one.
