The plot starts out pretty interesting, but it's got shitty acting, huge holes in the plot and in the end it doesn't really provide you with any surprises. It's just a big meh and I also hate Logan Paul's face so bad.

It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either.

I found it a very enjoyable dystopian movie.

The creative vision behind this movie is "SAT test + holocaust mashup for teenagers who don't like tests". It's incoherent on multiple levels. There are obvious filler scenes used to get it to full-movie length.

It's all familiar territory, and it doesn't offer a lot to catapult it past the best of its kind. However, The Thinning does get by on some interesting story elements and even provides some thought-provoking moments. The production quality is cheap, but pretty good for a YouTube Red movie. Not only that, but the actors work around their limitations to deliver passable performances. With YouTube stars transitioning to acting, you can do worse than Logan Paul in The Thinning.
