A prominent London Psychologist seems to have taken his own life, causing stunned disbelief amongst his colleagues and patients. His teenage daughter refuses to believe it was suicide as this would go against all of the principles her father stood for, therefore she is convinced it was murder. She enlists the help of a former patient to try to get to the truth. The truth, however, turns out to be both surprising and disturbing. (imdb)

A solid little mystery with some creepy undertones and a few intense moments, especially the climax. Boyd is a bit stiff (except for one really hammy scene) but Pamela Franklin as the young girl is wonderful. The psychoanalytic elements are handled fairly well. It's not hard to see the ending a mile off, but it's still pretty gripping, and along the way are a couple of insightful observations about man's struggles with his psyche. Some pretty nice dramatic camerawork as well.

Atmospheric but I was expecting a different type of movie, maybe involving a conspiracy, instead of someone with a bad memory/questionable motives/mental issues. Pamela Franklin does a good job with her role. Fav scene: when she creepily tells him that he's too smart.
