The Three Lives of Thomasina

A widowed veterinarian (Patrick McGoohan) gains a bad reputation for putting down animals, his sincerity aside. His life and that of his daughter (Karen Dotrice) are changed by a mysterious young woman (Susan Hampshire), and the daughter's spirited orange tabby, Thomasina. Offbeat Disney fantasy, with shockingly dark undercurrents and some imaginative touches--like Thomasina's trip to Cat Heaven, straight out of A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH. A fine cast and smooth handling make it most enjoyable.
