They should remake this with Robert Downey Jr., Bryan Cranston, Kevin James and Miles Teller. Jim Carrey could fill the Tim Curry role. The song could be redone by Adam Levine, Justin Beiber, and Ed Sheeran. Please, God, no one listen to me.

Charlie Sheen stoked AIDS wasn’t a thing back then “uhhh Charlie that’s not how that works”. Michael Wincott gargled all the scenery in the 90s and just disappeared. This wants to be Robin Hood prince of thieves so bad it even has Bryan Adams. A little too much quipping for a period without toilet paper.

Entertaining enough. You could feel the heavy hand of Hollywood on this one, and it suffers for it, but it's better than half of other movies based on the Three Musketeers. That counts for something?

I had to sit through this shit in a class, and the best part was when some dude shouted out "WINNING" as Charlie Sheen popped on screen.

Sheen, Platt and Sutherland goof their way through the whole thing, but it's not all bad.

A competent though not stellar telling of this story. A little too violent for the very young, but still a Disney production at heart. Tim Curry is delightfully over-the-top.

Not too bad as far as kid-aimed swordplay action goes, but it's pretty dry and feels very blandly Hollywood/Disney. For 90s swashbuckling fun check out Mask of Zorro instead.

Formulaic action-adventure nonsense. Sword fights, frilly shirts, floppy hats, panto villains, cheesy lines, you know the drill. What struck me most, other than De Mornay's epic cleavage, was how much leaping the Musketeers did. Buildings, bridges, horses, cliffs, boats, walls. You name it, they leapt off that shit. Usually in slow motion. In summary, it's a rubbish film, but recommended if you like slow motion leaping.

A good cast and a swift pace makes this rather generic and uneventful adaptation of Dumas watchable. It relies heavily on its stars-of-the-day to sustain interest, but nobody gives anywhere near close to a career best performance or even appears to be having all that much fun, apart from Curry, which makes the effort to assemble them seem rather pointless. The G rating also hurts, and it goes a long way to explaining why Sutherland and Sheen's time as movie stars was relatively short lived.

Certainly no artistic achievement, but a very well put together simple, lighthearted action film with fun characters, pretty good fight choreography and very nice scenery and sets.

A half-hearted romp by a group of actors to whom swashbuckling is a lost art, this is simply _Young Guns_ with swords, no more than a feeble adventure with little sense of period.

Goofy movie, but it's heart is in the right place. May as well have been G rated, although I think it was, probably. They've remade the original movie so many times I've lost track.

I couldn't get over how boring this movie was. It's definitely something you could watch while doing the dishes or taking the trash out or checking the mail. You just set your kids in front of your TV and figure out the bills at the kitchen counter. It's predictably wholesome and terribly simple. I knew exactly what was happening without even watching it. The helpful music score constantly playing kept me keyed in the whole time. C

Somehow I've gone my whole life not seeing this, even though it ran on telly all the time in the 90s. Might have been a shame I missed it when it was still in the zeitgeist, because it's actually quite fun.

The Disney adaptation of the Dumas classic is dumbed down a litlle, but really it's not bad. As much as I like Oliver Platt, he is badly miscast here. Tim Curry, however, is outstanding. The movie is entertaining if forgetable.

All you need to look at is the name and it conjures up images of extreme swordplay by figures of some renown. It is an adventure movie at its core and one that captures all of the necessary elements to portray the story of the three (nay, four) musketeers in all their glory.
