Charlie Sheen stoked AIDS wasn’t a thing back then “uhhh Charlie that’s not how that works”. Michael Wincott gargled all the scenery in the 90s and just disappeared. This wants to be Robin Hood prince of thieves so bad it even has Bryan Adams. A little too much quipping for a period without toilet paper.

They should remake this with Robert Downey Jr., Bryan Cranston, Kevin James and Miles Teller. Jim Carrey could fill the Tim Curry role. The song could be redone by Adam Levine, Justin Beiber, and Ed Sheeran. Please, God, no one listen to me.

This movie made me hate Leonardo DiCaprio, and he's not even in it.

Entertaining enough. You could feel the heavy hand of Hollywood on this one, and it suffers for it, but it's better than half of other movies based on the Three Musketeers. That counts for something?

Sheen, Platt and Sutherland goof their way through the whole thing, but it's not all bad.

Not too bad as far as kid-aimed swordplay action goes, but it's pretty dry and feels very blandly Hollywood/Disney. For 90s swashbuckling fun check out Mask of Zorro instead.

Your typically bland Disney live-action movie

Nothing special, but it was entertaining in the 90s.

A competent though not stellar telling of this story. A little too violent for the very young, but still a Disney production at heart. Tim Curry is delightfully over-the-top.

I had to sit through this shit in a class, and the best part was when some dude shouted out "WINNING" as Charlie Sheen popped on screen.

Formulaic action-adventure nonsense. Sword fights, frilly shirts, floppy hats, panto villains, cheesy lines, you know the drill. What struck me most, other than De Mornay's epic cleavage, was how much leaping the Musketeers did. Buildings, bridges, horses, cliffs, boats, walls. You name it, they leapt off that shit. Usually in slow motion. In summary, it's a rubbish film, but recommended if you like slow motion leaping.

Was Chris O'Donnell on crack?

In response to Jeb: I think Chris O'Donnell is always on crack.

A good cast and a swift pace makes this rather generic and uneventful adaptation of Dumas watchable. It relies heavily on its stars-of-the-day to sustain interest, but nobody gives anywhere near close to a career best performance or even appears to be having all that much fun, apart from Curry, which makes the effort to assemble them seem rather pointless. The G rating also hurts, and it goes a long way to explaining why Sutherland and Sheen's time as movie stars was relatively short lived.
