The Tulse Luper Suitcases, Part 3: From Sark to the Finish

spoiler alert! this is the last brick in the Tulse's wall. Greenaway has contuniued the multiple pelicules when he started it in Pillow Book. So the triology ends.

Much lower production values on this one, with much of the story being described in voice-over and some truly astoundingly bad effects, both CG and physical. Still Greenaway manages to make something out of it.

After being bombarded with elaborate fictions and heaps of minute detail for the past 6 hours, I've got nothing much left to say. My attention was frequently drifting, and I felt you could walk away for a while and not miss much. I admire Greenaway and the massive amount of work and thought he puts into his films, but I've had quite enough. The movie does have a nifty ending, one that puts Greenaway and his stand-in Luper in an interesting new light. But as a whole, I found it pretty tedious.
