That dog would have gone straight back. Winning a stupid ribbon did not resolve the underlying issues. They even covered up the gorgeous Suzanne Pleshette. Fav scene: the silliness of RION RION and watching white people host guests in an orientalist garden party with all sorts of tchotchkes, then clutch their pearls for the longest dog chase ever.

"Rion!" ... I remember watching this film when I was younger, and loving every moment of it. It's a heartfelt comedy every step of the way, and kids from one to ninety-two should love it.

Use of an indoor set for the many back yard scenes is distracting- didn't they have the technology for stage lights that look more like sunlight? Cat burglar is a dead end.

I tried to kill some time on a slow, hungover Saturday afternoon with this, not expecting much, and getting even less. The hijinks are tedious and the racism is casual. Both are repeated ad nauseam.
