A let down. The show ends each episode with a typical cliffhanger that gets shot down immediately in the next episode. The show tries to twist you into thinking in other directions and it's pretty weak attempts.

User JSchlansky hits the nail on the head: "Constantly seems like it's about to get more interesting but never does." Hugh Grant's fantastic performance is probably the thing that stands out the most here. The overall feeling that it was unnecessarily stretched out, and some odd directorial choices, really hold this back.

Constantly seems like it's about to get more interesting but never does. Every episode ends with a cliffhanger that suggests a major twist or revelation, only to immediately undercut that cliffhanger in the next episode and reveal that what we saw was far more mundane or meaningless. The story is nowhere near complex enough to demand a 6-episode length. You could easily compress all of the interesting bits into a 1.5-hour film. I mostly listened to this show while painting, visually uneventful.

SPOILERS: Like a mystery tour, which culminated in a visit to the local tip, this TV was 5 hours 50 minutes of anticipation, followed by a real let down. The whole 6 episodes where designed to make you question who did it (and they did it well), even tho' in hindsight, it's pretty obvious (read the book, Godamnit!). This left all the false clues, red herrings and a myriad "questions" unanswered ... like, who was Jonathons previous affair with? or what was Alves obsession with Grace about?

Seems like everyone on set caught the over-acting bug. Pretty jokes they founded an entire murder mystery of Hugh Grant's charm.

Tried to build a good story. I almost liked the ending but it did not give what promised.

Good old-fashioned whodunnit at its heart. I had some minor criticisms, mainly casting, but overall a good thriller series.

SPOILER ALERT: it would have been much much much better if the two boys had done it, but alas, no...flaccid ending to something that might have been ok.

not bad but as crime whodunit and legal drama it is kinda short on twists and intrigues. so it shifts more to family and relationship drama but cannot say it delivers there.

If you can get over the distraction of Kidmans mask it's a pretty good show.

*SPOILERS* My sister was sure she knew who the real killer was. In the end, the big twist is that there was no twist at all, which was kind of interesting. The plot was too thin streeetched for 6 hours though. No reason it couldn't have been a 2-hour film. But more of Matilda De Angelis please!
