An interesting curiosity. I've seen comparisons to Possession, which are valid to an extent. An odd mash-up of kitchen-sink family drama and saucy sci-fi; the way the two strands interweave isn't entirely clear, and in fact quite a lot is left unexplained. I quite enjoyed trying to fill in the blanks myself. Overall, it was well made, filmed and acted, if a little weird. I think this'll be divisive (the alien tentacle sex might be a bit much for some folk), but I liked it.

Pleasure as a form of mayhem and destruction -- at least for some people. Everyday dramas -- a wife that suffers with a violent husband -- connected to an alien creature that promises to give people ultimate pleasure -- until it finally consumes everyone around. Nice cinematography, but not particularly engaging, specially in the first hour.

I'm surprised at how unbelievably boring and uninteresting they managed to make this premise.

It is beyond comprehension that someone thought these scene progressions and dialog would make a good movie. They did a miserable job of providing a coherent story to give meaning to what appears on screen. It seems like just an excuse to show nude girls and a very creepy lecherous CGI monster. When you get to the end you will be asking yourself WTF? Many extra points for trying and failing.

I have mixed feeling/opinions. Succeeds in questioning the taboos and prejudices we construct around sexuality in the name of order, and underlines that this holds even more for our politically correct values (Ale takes his husband to be the murder w/o any doubt because he is a homofobic). On the other hand, the film's concern doesn't shine as something essential for me. This creature as the epitome of our desires and our relation to it is somewhat superfluous for me. Maybe I need a rewatch :)

Thank God this is the first site in which I do not see that this is a Horror movie, indeed, it is a Horror to see this movie when you are expecting a Science Fiction Horror movie.

A jarring mix of bruised and sodden realism and nightmarish sexual imagery. Like a blue collar version of Zulawski's Possession, if that makes sense (it doesn't).

Starting from the very first scenes, which last way too long and have no other purpose than to set up the tone, following with a growing inconsistency between it and the plot escalating to the extent of a parody, the combination of realistic style and parabolic substance is the most curious and simultaneously flawed thing here. One of two should have been tamed.

This was something different, one that has to been seen to be believed. This one even more than Sangre suffers from being to vague in what it actually wants to say or maybe I'm just not smart enough to get it, either way it made that this movie didn't work for me behind being a very intriguing curiosity.

Needlessly pornographic, and the supernatural elements don't seem to have a purpose.
