While not as good as earlier Cline/Keaton movies I've seen this is pretty good fun. A little too hammy at points but meh you get a pie fight.

Cult comedy The Villain Still Pursued Her (1940)! Spoof the old hammy villainous plays, playing to the crowd with hisses and overly telegraphed narrative. The excellent comic cast thrives in such environment. Alan Mowbray is the not-so-subtle heel the plot centers around as gullible Richard Cromwell gets fooled into a drunken frenzy, while such ace comedians as Buster Keaton, Hugh Herbert, Billy Gilbert and a whole bunch more shows up. And there is a pie fight! What more do you need?!
