Holy hell, that whole opening segment. This flick will satisfy anyone's unquenchable thirst for both over-the-top part-POV dynamic murderaction and cheesy momentum-killing melodrama. Oh, and another annoying thi[FLASHBACK TO SOME CONVOLUTED SHIT]

The camerawork in this movie is frequently annoying, and most of the action is edited in a confusing way. The screenplay is quite confusing too, with lots of unannounced flashbacks making the film feel overlong. It's pretty cliched and silly, and on top of all that the romance was superfluous. The acting is okay, and some of the action scenes are good - the opening sequence is excellent - so points for trying, but overall this is a bit of a mess.

Korean remake of La Femme Nikita that has some truly stunning moments - that 8-minute fight that opens the movie, for one - but then gets confused about what kind of movie it wants to be, with a messy, overlong revenge plot and a flat romance, and with not enough cinéma du look to carry it through the doldrums.

Starts off well with an action sequence - and I love when a film just starts - then as with so many Korean films it gets bogged down in melodrama

Stylish though repetitive in the long run (and it is very long).

Way too long and the narrative structure doesn't exactly work, but it's still a thrilling and incredibly well staged action film with some proper nods to SK revenge films.

The opening scene is certainly a tour de force, as many of the action scenes are. The performances are solid as well. Unfortunately this is the kind of film that Christopher Nolan would make: in other words, it starts off great but progressively gets more and more complicated until you're barely certain as to what's going on. These unnecessary complications are only exacerbated by a non-linear narrative with actors who are sometimes difficult to tell apart & one too many twists & reversals.

A twisting tale of government operatives, assassins, double crosses and double agents, bubbling over with gory action. Rather than bogging down the middle of the film, I felt the typical Korean melodrama actually added some weight to the action sequences, and the serpentine plot often leaves the viewer as confused as the protagonist. The fight scenes are incredible technical achievements, the camera impossibly weaving in and out of the bullet sprays and flashing blades. Well worth your time.

Subtitles were pretty weird, but still the script was a mess. Expected an awesome fast paced action thriller, unfortunately half of the movie had very cheesy romantic elements in it. Action was well shot though.

Some beautiful POV action scenes -- until they start to get boring. The convoluted plot also doesn't help.

After the amazing, action filled and Nikita'ish first ark the movie grinds to a screeching halt for like an hour to flesh out its main character in the most dorama way possible. In the final 20 minutes it finally starts picking up and delivers an awesome action sequence. It baffles the crap out of me how a movie can boast some of the most exhilerating and amazing action scenes of this decade and also one of the most boring middle parts I have ever seen. A mixed bag. I still kinda dig it.

The plot is quite confusing with way too many flashbacks and the movie can't decide what kind of film it wants to be. So that part isn't too convincing. However the few action scenes are truly incredible. I have no idea how it's even possible to film stuff like that. The camerawork is unbelievable.

I thought the romance/melodrama fit so it didn't feel that long to me. I love the beginning of this where it just starts in a hallway and she starts murdering. Every action sequence is gory, choreographed beautifully and exciting. Has some fun twists, and the direction/cinematography is on point. Can be a little confusing with the jumping back and forth but it's a great revenge flick that oozes style.

Confusing plot ... confusing action ... I could not have cared less what happened in this film. Folks claiming that the action in this film is incredible are out of their minds. Excessive editing and a camera shoved way to close to the action are being used to disguise the fact that the choreography is fucking garbage.

This is a well acted, well crafted and quite entertaining movie. While I didn't like some of the stylistic choice I have to give the director credit for doing things different. A lot of people compare this to John Wick and I disagree to me at least this is an update/remake of the classic La Femme Nikita.

Some great action scenes, stylish with great camera work. A huge dead spot on the middle where it decides to do bad romance instead of good action. Pretty solid if you watch the first and last half hours and skip the middle hour.

Yes, the story is confusing and not well done. There are flashbacks within flashbacks and the only motivation the main character has is that she suddenly has a baby. BUT, the action is amazing and just keeps getting better. Every action scene makes you forgive every dumb drama decision the movie made just 5 minutes ago. It's interesting how a movie can be so good and so bad at the same time. But it's a fun ride, even if you just want to see how baffeling the difference in quality really is.

After an absolutely amazing opening action sequence, mostly done in POV, the movie looses momentum with too many flashbacks, which instead of fleshing out the protagonist make the plot overly complicated. The final part with some great action sequences, especially the part in the bus, pick up the pace again a bit. But because of the convoluted plot I didn't care anymore about the emotional resolution.

The thrilling action sequences and the deliberately confusing structure (WHY!?) almost manage to hide the fact that this movie is pretty bad. Almost.
