No one it more American then Walter Huston. But here he is playing a Russian General! And he doesn't even try being Russian. Kay Francis wants her man released from prison by getting the General soften up. She makes a deal with outrageous brothel ma' Jobyna Howland to work in her establishment hoping he'll show up. And so the hunt begins and this includes some hilarious seducing. Francis really talks the General down to her size. Some of it incredibly absurd. Hell, it's an absurd film overall.
