The Voyeurs

It did start out relatively interesting, but goes downhill. The twist brought a bit of my interest back, but it was poorly told and a bit too unbelievable.

I was prepared to hate this after the opening "hilarious" millenial discourse that only happens in films (unless I am well out of touch!) but as the action got going, things settled down to a more enjoyable and tense (albeit preposterous) story. There are more plot holes, coincidences and ludicrous improbabilities in this 120 minutes than any other film i can recall, but from about an hour in, when the plot didnt follow what I THOUGHT would happen, things were very entertaining. So it's some kind of sexy Rear Window for millenials, but it leaves so many questions unresolved. No, not the plot holes--more important questions like why does Smith sound like a muppet for half the movie? Why did the casting director cast a guy who has the head of 15 year old Frankie Muniz from Malcom in the Middle pasted on a male model's body? Why does an opthamologist pick out glasses for people? Is the movie supposed to be based in France or something?

If I were stuck fucking Muppet Wyatt Cenac, I'd become obsessed with the sexy satyr across the street too...

Goes pretty batshit the final hour — and is all the better for it.

The first half is an exploration of the more or less real world-based premise “what if your neighbors were constantly fucking without closing the blinds and you subsequently developed a weird parasocial / psychosexual obsession with them?” Then the second half unravels spectacularly into some dumbass twist-a-minute murder mystery thriller thing that might as well be set in Narnia for how much it has in common with the real world. Extra point for Sweeney boobs, naturally.

It's pretty juicy, provocative and fun, until it's not -- blame it on the lazy second half and Black Mirror-ish ending. Sweeney is just brilliant.

Spending 2 hrs for Sydney. terrible.

I apparently need to pay more attention to why movies are rated R. Even though it's not great, I still enjoyed following the many twists and turns that the last hour brings.

Sydney Sweeney YOU GORGEOUS THING

It's not as great as it could have been but it's also not as bad as some are making it out to be. Sydney Sweeney is likable as Pippa and there is a lot of tension in the final act of the movie. Even if some of the twists do come out of left field you can still feel for the characters and how it would impact them. It's a much better film than I ever anticipated it being.

This started out okay and was a pretty easy watch for an hour. Shit gets ridiculous in the final third and the plot armour is difficult to forgive. Some hot bodies sure, but my goodness what an ending... 3.6

If you like erotic thrillers, you'll have fun watching this film, even if it's pretty bad. Also, 2 hours tolerable for Sydney Sweeney.
