Simple, low-key study of a genial battle of wills across the generations might have been even better had the emotional manipulation and sentimentality been backed off. Making sure every heart string is appropriately tugged, the film works as well as it does to fine performances from both Yoo and Eul-Boon in the lead roles; their push-pull tension is well observed and illustrated, and if I don't quite buy in to Yoo's change of attitude towards the finale, it's not the fault of the performances.

Had a bit too much of the kid being an insufferable ass for my liking. It's decent, though.

Very touching.

Cute, adorable story with a pleasing simplicity about it. Could have been great with just a little more complexity.
