The Way to the Stars

Rather pleasant British war-time movie, which goes out of its way to explain the differences between British and American attitudes. While it has a solid cast of British actors, the casting which stood-out for me was that of Douglass Montgomery, his first film in 6 years. I did think he did a decent job here. He is the emotion here totally telegraphing his part the way intended. But of course it's the contrast to the British mannerisms that makes it work so well.

Interesting war time period piece

Nice. The minor British vs. American culture clash sparks some entertainment here. The sentimentality of the movie is smartly balanced out by the humor.
