I liked this film for two reasons. no, not those two reasons - first, it was supposedly filmed in and around Montreal, very nice, and second, well, ok, three reasons.

It's got a particular vibe, like an '80s comedy that hid in a closet until the '90s. Weird but okay.

Always great to see self-conscious films that don't take themselves too seriously. Perry was spot-on with great comedic timing, and a fitting counter to Willis' stone cold screen personification. The duo are highly entertaining alongside Pollak and the rest of the gang in this very unpredictable, fresh and sexy roller coaster of fun. And if that was the film's goal I can't blame it - fun it is, even though there isn't much else to it.

The Whole Nine Yards isn't the greatest movie but I enjoyed it. The story moves at a good pace. A mobster moves in next door and creates havok for his unsuspecting neighbor. There is a lot of comedy in the movie was well. The casting is great. Bruce Willis plays a good mob hitman. MCD is always good as muscle. Matthew Perry is alright. He never seems to endear himself to me, but that might just be me. Amanda Peet is gorgeous and funny as the sidekick that kicks ass.

Amusing comedy starts well but, like many of Lynn's efforts, the too-languid and deliberate pacing of what should be spitfire screwball creates a drag on many of the set-ups and punchlines. A game cast gives this their all, with Willis a terrific De Niro-ish straight man to Perry's befuddled Stiller clone (and proving Perry has/had the chops to be a leading man). Would have worked so much better with a significant tightening of the screws.

This came in a $10 Willis set along with Last Man Standing, 16 Blocks, and The Last Boy Scout. I bought it for Last Man Standing, and wasn't expecting much from this film, but I was pleasantly surprised.

A decent comedy. The characters had a charm to them except Perry's whorish wife (which was the point). Michael Clarke Duncan makes a great supporting character and shines here. I'd watch it again even if it isn't anything groundbreaking.

Surprisingly enjoyable, which is to say I expected crap and got mediocrity with some funny moments. It's mostly due to Willis and Duncan, but whatever the reason it's fun and the plot moves along just fast enough that you don't worry about all the holes.

It's goofy, funny. More goofy than funny, but relax, switch off brain, let it flow. It'll be okay, you can laugh at empty films once in a while and not lose any respect. Unless of course you create a criticker profile and rate your guilty pleasures higher than most.

Apart from an ace beer gag, Perry hurts himself to no avail in this strikingly average comedy. Someone in production must have figured where this boat was sailing, seeing as Amanda Peets breasts make a surprising and strangely lingering appearance midway through. I'm not complaining - they're better at acting than Henstridge.

Chandler, I mean Matthew Perry, gets involved in wacky hijinks with Bruce Willis who plays a hit man. Hilarity, or rather mediocre humour, ensues. It's got a few laughs but nothing really grand. If you really enjoyed Chandler from friends then try this one out but if not then don't even bother.

Bruce Willis VS Matthew Perry. Sound funny? well ..it was. Sorta Decent acting by the leads combined with a great supporting cast (+Henstridge always looks so fine... drool...) and some clever scripting here and there make for a fairly enjoyable comedy. That and Kevin pollak performance is great !! A must see for anyone whos fan of the man! tho a bit tedious in part Deux.

To me this was something fresh for the time. I remember watching it as a kid a lot and for some reason really enjoying it and I still enjoy it. The 'neo-noir' tone really suits the film and it's probably one of the best roles I've seen Willis in. You can clearly see he enjoyed his time on the film.

This is what happens when you have a high school friend who works at the cinema and INSISTS on sneaking you and the gang in, but only feels comfortable doing this at 11 o'clock at night when the last film playing is this boring turd pile. The category is "Crime" which leads me to believe that this film was aptly booted from the comedy genre.

While it's not really an extraordinary film, it's enjoyable and works on very many levels. The story moves incredibly fast and has more turns and twists than I've ever seen, making you never know what's going to happen from one second to the next. Also, Matthew Perry has some brilliant comedy moments, and the writing in particular is very good. And you gotta love Amanda Peet. Overall good, but you probably won't enjoy it if you're very picky and can't enjoy simple fun.
