The Masquers Comedy Club of Hollywood provided us with some of the most clever comedy shorts of the early sound era, and The Wide Open Spaces (1931) is their spoof on the western, using Ned Sparks as a hilarious villain! There are plenty of familiar faces to go along with the laughs in what's a good 20 minutes of parodying western cliches.
