Nightmare of the Wolf is interesting enough, though the animation (often used for Netflix R-rated productions) is tiresome. Jets of blood & extraneous violence seem to dominate most scenes whether appropriate or not. The film itself benefits from its well-paced 80 minutes, while the voice acting is decent if unremarkable. Vesemir is an interesting character, but Tetra doesn't surpass flat villain territory. Decent but doesn't make The Witcher world one you'd like to spend much time in.

I am not a fan of that style of animation, but the story was really good, connected superbly throughout.

The animation and design are flat, the story and performances are tired. Nothing holds interest. (DNF)

Young and cocky witcher Vesemir finds himself torn between defending Kaer Morhen, the home of the Wolf School, and unveiling a dark secret about the witcher's trade. It's cool seeing the origins of Vesemir, mentor to Geralt, and the slightly hyper animation style lends itself well to the gory fantasy action on offer. Not having read any of the books, I can't say if it's true to the source material or not, but it's fast and fun and doesn't overstay its welcome. Not bad at all.

Well-animated and interesting enough to break through some of its generic-ness.

Surprised myself by getting very bored with this one.

I'm heavily invested in the Witcher so there's some bias, but the animation here was gorgeous, the action intense. Monsters were interesting, the plot moved along briskly, never wasting time, and even got a little bit heartfelt at the end. Didn't shy away from dark shit, which was welcome in this universe, which is very dark. Good voice acting all around.

Overall liked the movie. The story surprisingly has a lot of heart and it goes over a nice period of Witcher lore if you're a fan of the universe. Somewhat cliche in some parts but a you won't have wasted your time if you watch this one evening.

Few bright spots in an otherwise okayish film. The 7/10 kind of movie. But 3/5 will have to suffice.

The Witcher evrenini gayet iyi anlayıp adapte etse de Nightmare of the Wolf maalesef sıkıcı bir yapım olmaktan öteye geçemiyor.

Pretty decent, does a good job of explaining the world and is paced pretty well. A bit better than I expected, but it would've been better if the characters weren't so stereotypical. That keeps me from truly recommending this film.

The animation is on the level you expect from Studio Mir but the story is more on the level of solid fanfiction.

Kendime canavar ediniverdim.

Solid animation, and a decent story, coupled with wildly uneven voice acting. Not bad for fans.

While I'm not exposed to the books or TV-series, I have played a little of The Witcher 3 on my Switch. But the extent of it, so it was a little difficult to get a grasp of the world and conflicts going on here, I would say this was more for a dedicated Witcher fan than a novice like me. But even with the confusion, I was enjoying the serious tone and slaying going on. One I would probable enjoy even more had I been into the universe it's taking place.
