Perhaps not the most subtle world history epic, but I enjoyed this trip through American industrial growth. Paul Muni makes his hard earned millions on cattle and revolutionary ideas only to have all the family pride killed by second generation snobs! I loved how they treated the snobbery here! Caricatures of upper-class nitwits! Not only that, they made them into horror characters! My God, did Mary Astor look terrifying as that weakling snob!?!
