Janet Gaynor's final film before retirement is probable her best of the sound era. My favorite part of the film was when work-shy father and son Roland Young & Douglas Fairbanks Jr. philosophies about work life while watching men at a construction site carrying a sack from one pile to another. The moment I can most relate to when the father by accident gets a job and the mood turns almost into a funeral full of dread and sadness! This is a wonderfully beautiful movie with an excellent cast.
