One of those bad movies that makes you feel like you're going insane while watching it - in a "my brain can't believe I'm seeing what my eyes tell me I'm seeing" kind of way. I'm not giving it a zero score only because I think the director was grossly incompetent rather than malicious.

This should be renamed Barney: The Teenage Years. Barney has grown up, he's become a young adult. Gone are the bright and bold colours, gone are the days spent playing with his friends without a care in the world - his youthful and innocent outlook on life now makes him seem like he's emotionally underdeveloped but at least he realises he needs to work so he wants to be a detective! ahwwww... It's Pee-wees Playhouse meets Blade Runner. Dark and bleak, yet still colourful and bold.

In 1992, producer Richard Abramson filed a $20 million lawsuit against Goldberg after she attempted to back out of the film; If I'd been her, I would've paid the 20 million.

I'm going to cut it some slack for the amount of attention that went into detail. It's terrible but charming in a very theoretical capacity.

A cynical cash grab that's all over the place and really loves its own fart and bad breath jokes. I'll remember it for a while, the same way we carry scars.

Completely unredeemable, Theodore Rex is a steaming pile of dino dump. The plot is ridiculous, something only a small child could find entertaining due to the inclusion of anthropomorphic dinosaurs, however, only a parent with little concern for their child's brain functionality would allow their kid to watch this. It's mental suicide! Utter crapulence!

Really terrible dinodesign, awful story (which gets explained right at the beginning by the way), shitty use of wordplay (a dinocide instead of homicide.. just.. no) and Whoopi looking really depressed. Avoid this movie if you can, and don't give this as a present to someone, unless you really really hate that person.............. ... ...... (Looking at you, frederic_g54....)

After reading the script, I don't understand why any producer would agree to fund this, there isn't a single good moment in this film, not even in a MST3K so bad-it's-good kind of way. I'd honestly have rather spent an hour and a half in solitary confinement than watch this again.

The plotline alone deserves 15 points. So terrible it's hilariously awesome. That's the only thing that deserves points, though.

I don't often do short reviews, but here I shall. Painful.

I'll give it this: the filmmakers are aware that comedy is a thing that exists.

I tried to watch this for an upcoming HDTGM podcast but it's just so boring, it's a bad film to be sure but it's lacking in anything of any substance

One of those 90s movies where it's the future and all logic has gone out the window. It's no wonder Whoopi Goldberg doesn't look too thrilled to be around the main character.

Having watched this a while ago and forgotten to rate it, the things I remember best are the unworkable racism metaphor, the unpleasantness of putting Whoopi Goldberg in a role where she has to be an asshole, and the absolute strangeness of having the designs from the ABC Dinosaurs sitcom mixed up in all this. I'm not going back to see what I forgot; once was more than enough.
