For someone who has a sideways fascination with this band, I was impressed with this doco. It's a loving dedication to this successfully anonymous band and how ground-breaking they were back in the day when most alternative bands shied away from being this weird (and still do), and this also shows how the band were about more than music, with their eyeball head get-up, eccentric album covers, surreal videos, and pretty awesome-looking live concerts.

I've always liked the concept of The Residents more than their actual music so it was pleasant that the documentary focuses on their history, influence, and their fuller thematic focus.
