There Goes the Groom (1937) is absurd, but it's got such good comic performances that it's worth seeing. The second lead role Burgess Meredith ever had, and he's a total loony! Exaggerated, but up for the task. Ann Sothern is a nice dame, and perhaps the most grounded character in this, but the queen of the film is no doubt Mary Boland! Such a comic pro! She even gets tackled played American Football! So if you're up for some wild stupidity, this is one to go to.
