A neat musical film. Takes place at a music school for poor children and it all builds around the celebrity cameo of Jascha Heifetz, one of the top violinists in the world. Joel McCrea is there. So is his love interest, Andrea Leeds, running the school. Walter Brennan does a fine job as the old conductor. But the true star of the show is young Gene Reynolds as a runaway who finds a home among the musicians. A bit sentimental, but a sweet novelty film.
