Mickey (Barbara Williams) feels trapped in a boring marriage to husband Ray. So, she begins an affair with a hunky guy (Steven Bauer) who, seemingly, can read her every thought. What she doesn't know is that he has a certain advantage -- he's broken into her house and read diaries that are filled with her most secret fantasies. Co-starring Christine Ebersole and David Caruso, Thief of Hearts was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

This is surprisingly obscure considering it was produced by Bruckheimer and scored by Faltermeyer who also made "Beverly Hills Cop" in the same year. That film mixed comedy and violent action with great results while this one traded comedy for romance and the result is not as strong. It's too violent for date crowd and too sappy for action fans. Plus it has a protagonist who turns out to be quite creepy. Not a hidden gem by any means, but still worth a watch for fans of the 80's.
