Thomasine and Bushrod

The story of a pair of black bank robbers in 1911, on the run from an insane US Marshall. Sorta the western version of Bonnie and Clyde mixed with Robin Hood, with a fairly predictable outcome. Lots of bank robbing montages and ridiculous low speed chases across the plains in rickety automobiles, interspersed with goofy bonding moments between the couple and their friends. Vonetta McGee is fine, but this is pretty boring stuff.

Em honra de Max Julien (1933 - 2022). Faltou um tiquinho de nada para ser um grande filme, mas aquele final de o crime não compensa é muito reacionário para um time de produtor e diretor negros, eles são sociologicamente como Robin Hood e tem um fim digno de criminosos egoístas como Bonnie e Clyde? É como se dissessem: temos black power, mas até certo ponto. Talvez a intenção era fazer uma analogia com os Panteras Negras, mas a gente queria um final feliz, pô! Rip no PirateBay.
