Spent almost seven years in developmental hell until someone suggested that they simply add one character and replace the main conceit with a baby, and that's how the unmarketable Three Men and a Mustache became surprise sensation Three Men and a Baby.

This is such a wonderfully charming film that it's badly written plot can be easily forgiven. It's honestly a lovely film, the very definition of "feel good". The scene where they sing to the baby is just adorable.

This didn't need the heroin plot at all really but I'm glad it was there to make it a weird PG. Love that this could make almost a billion dollars in today's money. Selleck moustache is probably always musky.

Look, they are men so therefore they will have trouble raising a child. If only one of them had a vagina! This movie is stupid shit that panders to idiots everywhere. One thing I must note, Tom Selleck has an epic mustache.

"Three Men, a Moustache and a Baby" is crap, but perfectly watchable lightweight crap. Best performance goes to the cardboard cut-out in the window.

Some funny moments for a cheesy 80s family comedy. Not to mention, rumor of a ghost!

I've loved this movie since I was a little girl. It's so great to see not just one, but three men step up and love a baby girl. So rare these days. I love when they sing to her.

Lame. Wouldn't want to see these actors in their own films, much less together.

I watched this to see the "ghost" which as OkkCoCa points out is clearly a cardboard cutout. Other than that I don't remember much except it features a bunch of mid level talent.

i still can't get over the fact that leonard nemoy directed this! it's a total fluff film - and in terms of plot/character it's trite and predictable. but the relationship between those men and that baby is hilarious and just precious - makes the film a lot of fun to watch.

This movie has a horrible predictable script. There are plenty of contrived situations with a lot of unfunny dialogue. The character that Steve Guttenberg plays is unfunny. Definitely avoid this movie at all costs.

Actually a much better version of the whole "men need babies to force them to grow up" story than expected. The conflicts are pretty understandable, and the mom is treated in a deeply sympathetic way. It's still a cheesefest, mind you, but a pretty fun one.

It's really stupid, and for a comedy it goes long stretches without laughs, but the leads have good chemistry and that brings out the charming aspect of the story enough to make it not so bad.

The American remake of the comparably titled French film is OK. It features the most charismatic performance of Steve Gutenberg's career, though, admittedly, that's not saying very much. The other leads, Tom Seleck and Ted Danson, portray very likeable, albeit paper-thin, two-dimensional characters. The movie's worst aspects are a so-so script, all of the characters in which are underdeveloped, and Nancy Travis, who is so annoying in the role of the eponymous baby's mother, that I missed the end

User Okkervil summed it up pretty succinctly and accurately by calling it "perfectly watchable lightweight crap." Like, this is a comedy that I laughed exactly twice in 100 minutes of watching, so I'm not about to call it a great comedy. But it has a certain fluffy cotton candy 80s charm that makes it easy to sit through. Except for that baby's loud, piercing, nonstop crying, which I must dock it a point for.

Last time I saw this I was closer to the age of the baby than the men. Now I’m right in their age group. It was surprising to see how much of it revolves around drug trafficking as I only remembered the scenes with the baby. All in all, this is still pretty entertaining fluff and the trio works well together. Maybe the concept is a bit outdated and not that rare as it was. I was mainly amused by the 80’s baby supplies, although it was also fun to see how many things have remained the same.

This is the 80s in your face! I love the fun carefree nature of the plot, tied together by 3 really smart and caring characters that try their hardest not to be defeated by... a baby. Its an amazing plot. The story is a bit erratic with two plots happening at the same time, but overall it has more heart than a lot of films that come out today
