Beautiful and atmospheric. Maybe a bit naive, but gives some hope

The film was beautiful, poetic and lyrical without having much story of substance. At times this felt like a clip show from an Asian TV drama.

Super slow unending visual treat wrapped in romance. The idea, wandering innerconnected stories, & point, which i think might be apparent to someone more versed in the culture of vietnam is completely unfathomable to am ugly american like me. This is film making through & through, where the pictures either stand for something else or are there because they are there. Pretty, some subtitles, with Harvey Kitel.
