This cinematic Thunderbirds feature boasts none of the light-hearted entertainment that the television series offered in spades. Characterisation is non-existent and action minimal, and the extensive footage of slow-moving machinery is soporific. Even more egregious is the inclusion of martian rock snakes and a Cliff Richard dream sequence, which could hardly be more out of place.

Not bad, nor amazing. Just so so with an overly gratuitous explosion scene at the end. it could have been on TV but they had more money. Nevertheless, watchable for a Thunderbirds fan.

I can't even imagine how awesome it would have been to see this on the big screen in the 60s. It does suffer the same problem that most TV-to-big screen movies have in that it just feels like an extended show or a two-parter. Nothing particularly exciting happens either and there are some really goofy moments (that FUCKING dream sequence) that clearly inspired Team America in later years. The destruction of the town at the end is fantastic though.

Essentially a feature-length episode in every way, which isn't really that much of a bad thing. Definitely looks dated now, but still provides good cheesy fun for those with at least some nostalgia for the Thunderbirds series.
