I've been underwhelmed by Ki-duk Kim so far, and the trend continues. Still, this is the most interesting work I've seen from him yet, even though it seems to be held in rather low regard. Part The Face of Another, part Vertigo, it's about romantic obsession and facial identity. The ambiguous ending thankfully doesn't seem to be merely an easy way out of the story, but a way of providing several intriguing possibilities. I have to say that it didn't blow me away, but I was pretty into it.

As usual, Kim plays with enticing and interesting themes in a clumsy manner. The finish is worth sticking around for, though.

It has an interesting premise, but the execution did not live up to it. Kim Ki-Duk is not a stickler for plausibility, but he captures some great moments. The sculpture park and the mask scenes were really commendable. that cafe owner must be commended too, many people get banned from places for half the commote the main characters caused in this movie.

At first, I didn't get why all the women in the movie were throwing themselves at this guy... then I saw his big-ass DVD collection, and it all suddenly made sense.

I've come to the conclusion that the less story driven a Ki-duk film is the better it is. With this said, Time is a major let down after a run of the best films in modern cinema.

I was very disappointed by this movie. It's the weakest Kim Ki-Duk film that I've seen, and I expected much more considering some of the amazing stuff he's done in recent years.

What is getting old? What is getting used to see your loved one? What is love? How long it lasts? These are questions Ki-duk Kim sets in the air with this movie. Time is ticking. People loves and be in loved. Though the end of the movie is classical, it's also the weakest link of the film. Cycle of love? This movie puts you to think, but the script was not ready for the movie. A couple more of rewritings and it would be much more better.

The story is quite strong but the script itself could be better. Ki-duk isn't at his best with this much dialogue but his directing is still pretty solid.

A masterpiece, but fucked up my mind quite a little bit. The second film by Ki-Duk that I watch. Definitely one of the greatest directors living

This has got to be the talkiest Ki-duk Kim film I've ever seen. This is a great story, if it has any fault at all its the fact that it doesn't take its ideas far enough. The acting was really strong and the atmosphere that the film created kept me hooked. I was a little let down by how the movie ended but it was still a pretty great watch.

I really loved the idea and the direction of Kim Ki-duk, but some aspects about the script (too artificial conversations) and the actors (that overact those artificial conversations) put me out of the story.

I kept waiting for this to turn into a comedy, but sadly it never did. Slightly ridiculous premise, but it's definitely toying with some interesting ideas.

This is a film that needs to be given a certain amount of leeway on realism to make its point, but it's an easy enough obstacle to overcome. While some shots towards the end certainly imply a negative view, this isn't an attack on plastic surgery. It's an examination of the cultural pressures that make it such a huge industry in a society obsessed with youth and beauty, telling people that they are useless when they're old and worthless when they're not beautiful.

Explores a lot of interesting subjects in a typical Kim Ki Duk sort of way. Quality has diminished slightly from past works. Still great, however.

Not a half bad flick, not my favorite Ki-Duk though.

Kim Ki-Duk films often seem to be about ideas or concepts, and sometimes he's not able to create a believable story around that idea. It's not helping that usually he's cranking his films out on yearly basis. While I think this could have benefited from a re-write, it still belongs to upper middle-tier in his filmography: not as good as Spring.. or Isle, but still a solid film in the vein of e.g. Samaritan Girl. Good use of locations, beautiful cinematography and score that sets the mood.
