To Mary - with Love (1936) is a fairly soppy drama about a love triangle happening during the ups & downs of the years surrounding the depression era. It would have been close to unbearable had it not been for Myrna Loy being in the center of events. Warner Baxter could keep up when the script allowed him, but Ian Hunter was a total bore. I guess that was his role anyway as the 'safe choice' of the two men. The film was definitely better the first half before the melodrama kicks in.
