I'm heading over to Hollywood as we speak cos if good acting is losing 30 pounds, slowly winking your left eye and being a bitch about it, fuck me, I'm getting an Oscar like tomorrow.

It's stylistically and tonally all over the place to the point when a drama about anorexia turns into an awkward teen romance. The upside of blindly thrusting through space is occasionally hitting something, but most of it falls short of any real investment in plot or characters. Collins fares pretty well, but aside from loitering and looking sick she hasn't got much to do. Keanu is his patented vacant self. And what the hell was with that disclaimer? There was zero disturbing content. None.

I didn't think it was bad at all. The dream sequence toward end felt out of place, but it's a good down to earth story that more than likely depicts anorexia pretty dang well. I thought Lily Collins was great and I found Alex Sharp to be an absolute delight. That scene toward the end between Ellen and her biological mom almost broke me... This doesn't shh away from the problems and setbacks anorexics have to deal with and I honestly wish there were more films like this. Very good.

I wouldn't say this is "bad to the bone", but merely, "pretty good to the bone." A very real and true look into the world of anorexia and all of the problems that brings. Lilly Collins was very good, and Sharp was the comedic release we didn't know we needed. This movie can be depressing, lighthearted, romantic, funny, and endearing all at the same time. I was pleasantly surprised by this, especially for a Netflix original. Would recommend if you're okay with some tough topics.

To the Bone is a very tough watch, but I think it's a great and important one. It's not every day that we get challenging movies about subject matters that most people would prefer to sweep under the carpet, so when one does come out--and it's also good--it needs to be appreciated. This is a strong drama with a complicated protagonist that details her struggle with anorexia. It's not easy, it's not fun, but it's emotionally compelling and very insightful.

Well crafted movie that could easily apply to a lot of other conditions we humans suffer through. Lily Collins is excellent and some of the other cast are also perfect. Dialogue needed to be good and it is frequently. Love how it ends.

It's a movie that tries to show the difficulties of a young girl who suffers from anorexia. This is the main goal of the movie, and the movie succeeds in this point (through the eyes of a layman). Technically: very good performance by Lily Collins; the screenplay isn't exactly good (it has good moments, but it has many low points); average direction and edition; the movie sometimes looks way too superficial (as if the movie isn't able to show the internal struggle of the main character)

Pretty dull. The characters are not well developed which is unfortunate considering how strong the cast is.

Small insight into life w an ED. I don't think it was a tough enough watch. Fell short with teen romance type garbage. Gay ballerina with an accent macking on a chick in a safe place. Taking away from the severity of the content. The baby bottle feeding scene was uncomfortable, but I felt it tied things together. One particular scene was effective and the only real spot that hits home. Ending scene was ineffective, and trite. Sexy actress with little roll. They toned this content down too much
