The movie opens to two men practicing Ju-Jitsu, one of them, Micchan (whom believes he has cancer after he forces his doctor to tell him that's what it is after the doc insists it's just a stomach ulcer) and he dedicates his life to helping his friend, Fujio, learn Ju-Jitsu, so once zombies start sprouting from the graves, why not practice on them? There were several moments while I was watching that I found myself laughing hysterically at this and then there were many times I found myself scratching my head at how bad and unfunny this was. The jokes were so hit and miss and most of them missed. It was as if they were trying to hard and the harder they tried the worse it got. But this is one really bizarre movie. One of the more bizarre movies that I have ever seen. But when i got to the last 10 minutes I was laughing hard.

It made me chuckle, but so much of it is senseless and sophomoric that it ends up being pretty forgettable. I think Shaun of the Dead is decent enough proof that Zombie comedy is a viable premise, but this is just non-stop wackiness that too often shoots (bites?) for the lowest common denominator.

Somehow more elegant and consistent in its themes and execution than most movies

for being a cheesy as hell japanese zombie flick, this movie was quite entertaining. this is definitely one that you'd never come across if you're not an avid zombie watcher, but for those of us out there throw it on your to-watch list

The basic plot looks like a Japanese Shaun Of The Dead. The actual execution is unfunny, drawn-out and pointless. One or two good scenes at the beginning and that's it.

There's thought put into this movie, a reckless kind of thought, but it's not just a complete rehash of anything. Though parody is quite clear throughout the film, it keeps itself original, especially with the twist that our protaganist is an aspiring jujitsu master, which means of course that we have jujitsu being performed on zombies. The story is a little disjointed, cutting the film in two parts with an animated segue in between, but you'll never be lost or confused to any of it.

I think I enjoyed the goofy english over-dub more than the original japanese.

The first half of the movie is great very funny. But the second half is them trying to be to funny. If u like funny horror movies like I do this is a great movie to watch.

Some good slapstick, but a lot of the humor is pretty base-level, with some jokes and things being overexplained as well. The most enjoyment comes from watching two great actors like Tadanobu Asano and Sho Aikawa hamming it up as a couple of slapstick doofuses.

Could have been a good zombie flick without all the bizarre humor.
