Good performances from Steve McQueen as Tom Horn, and Richard Farnsworth as John Coble in this true story about the real wild west cowboy gunslinger. Linda Evans was also good, she sounded like she had a cold the entire movie, which was kind of sexy. I think it was true that the real Tom Horn was hanged for a crime he did not commit, but also that he was overdue for crimes that he had. In a way justice prevailed, but by perversion. The real crime is that the men who hired him got off scot-free.

It gets pretty heavy handed with its themes in the last half-hour, but this is a pretty good end-of-the-West / Wild West heroes are actually evil movie. McQueen is pretty believable in the role of a man who doesn't have a place in the 20th century, he doesn't seem to understand anybody and just walking around seems like an exertion.

Steve McQueen's second to last film and is a very underrated one at that. According to this film, it is based off on a true story and you can't go wrong with Steve McQueen. Though, he was sick at the time, he made the character believable but this wasn't his best film.
