Sorta disturbing, and interesting. Even more so because this seems like it's intended almost as a promotional piece.

The main takeaway I got from this surprisingly fascinating film is that Tony Robbins is pretty damn good at what he does. Hagiography at its most compelling.

It's so completely and obviously biased that you can't consider it great, but it's also so intriguing that you can't disregard it. I actually believe that Tony is a good person and believes in what he's doing. But I also think that 95% of what's going on here is just the natural result of any interaction between a veritable WWE superstar and a lost soul desperately seeking guidance. But better they find it here than in a cult.

Maybe the documentary is not amazing, but the subject matter is. It's basically Psychology 101, being implemented in the wrong way, and without a foundation being set, it just seems dangerous. The documentary seems unbiased enough, I did feel that the film makes was skeptical about Robbins, and had some good questions for him, and it also felt like Robbins answered them honestly. But the long lasting effects of what he does is what peaked my interest most.

With the sound off it looks like a tent revival, with the sound on it sounds like a cult leader

It seems to me that Tony Robbins is all about choosing the right mantra. Which also results in him sitting at his beach front, throwing his arms in the air repeatedly, and pushing his energy up, up, up... I'm glad that he helps some people, but this event looks like mass hypnosis and hysteria, and I wonder if something deep is ever truly addressed.
