Tortured

The most of this story was good written thriller; the end was evident way before revealing though. Unfortunately acting was pretty lame. Even for Fishburne, not to mention the leading role. Even Cromwell did not shine anyhow, though he did his job okay. I liked Emmanuelle Chriqui but she was mere side character. A shattered storyline was in good form, but a bit uneasy to follow. Or both lines were too similar, did not differ from each other enough.

What's with the current fetishistic distaste for linear storytelling? I'm getting quite sick of flicks where the timeline is constantly jumping around. Guys, it's not a substitute for actual style. Everything and everyone is far too subdued to actually hold anyone's interest on any level. Too bad.. it had some potential.

Absolutely incredible to see it play out, but the wrong guy won. Sucking thing.
