Tragedy Girls is buckets of fun (and blood). It's Jawbreaker meets Scream for the Twitter generation. If you're a fan of knowing satires or horror-comedies, you need to check out Tragedy Girls.

Pretty much the only movie about teenagers, I will ever enjoy. Absurd, funny, gruesome and in my opinion, realistic. People obsessed with social media could easily succumb to evil, as social media is an evil of its own.

Wants to be a modern-day Scream and almost pulls it off. If the script had had a little more love for its fucked-up protagonists, this could have been really great instead of just really really fun. But hey, what's wrong with a bit of fun? #blessed

A mix of fun and awful. Comedy horror is not really my thing. It comes closer than most to being fun, but there is a lot of blood and gore and very dark humor. Making light of murder is never a great thing. Alexandra Shipp was gorgeous. Nicky Whelan was also very cute. The plot is asinine, unbelievable and at times quite tiresome, but some of the ironic humor is moderately entertaining. Barely worth watching, but definitely not for the squeamish.

Mostly good, although the script could’ve used some work. The big names in its cast are also underused. It’s often a dark comedy, occasionally a horror film (which it actually does better IMHO), and the humor needs to be just a bit better for how silly the comedy parts are. Despite the awkward tone, it works pretty well until the ending, which isn’t funny, scary or at all satisfying, which is a shame considering it could’ve ended in a number of decent ways. Not quite Heathers, but close.

This was a fun romp in the vein of 'Tucker and Dale vs Evil', by which I mean gory, funny, and turning slasher conventions on their heads. In a way, it's about obstacles to friendship and about growing up, but in another, it's about two narcissistic psychopathic girls. I'm not exactly sure the two mix, and that's why it doesn't get a higher grade from me.

Clearly made with the intention to become a cult classic, Tragedy Girls takes a slice of familiar films (Scream, Heathers, ect) that are certainly better than it. That being said, the energy of the two leads and the frenetic editing forces the audience to have a good time. I sure did, even if the film lacked the emotional punch that would have elevated it to great. The dropped in horror references are spotty, but several made me laugh. A solid ninety minutes.

Eğlenceli bir teen-slasher. Filmin tek kötü tarafı, katillerin kim olduğunu bilmeniz. Bu da dizi film formatına düşürüyor. Gönderme yaptığı korku ve gençlik filmlerine selam çıkarıyor. Halloween fun.

Taken in the right way, Tragedy Girls is a darkly subversive, quirky, often funny, stylistically interesting blend of slasher and satire. For a lot of it, I was well along for the ride, especially with fun supporting performances from Craig Robinson and Josh Hutcherson. However, ultimately, the film chooses to stay too far on the dark side and, while choosing two murdering anti-heroes as its protagonists is a bold choice, the climactic third act feels empty because nothing really changes.
