Solid. It's compelling and satisfying while you watch, but it's the kind of movie you only need to see once, and will probably forget very quickly.

What a treat it is to see Guy Pearce act in anything, even if it is rather middling. I don't know if the guy is just picky with his scripts, but you don't see enough of him these days. Anyway. This movie is exactly what you think it is, and packs no real surprises. I'm sure I'll have forgotten most of it within a month but I enjoyed it while I was watching it. Cheadle is a total badass here and makes several intelligent moves along the way. The movie is smart, but could have been more impactful.

I loved the religious elements; Cheadle's internal conflict gives genuine tension, and the ending makes a great punchline (if you can forgive its editing). But it's ultimately a dud, failing to deliver where it can so easily succeed.

Horrible. The plot was bland, predictable and far from exciting. There were some very offensive aspects as well. Nothing more than a mindless sequence of motions.

Traitor is a film that's not bad, but just average. Apart from its actors and the depth given to the terrorist group featured within, there's nothing special and nothing worth seeing. The story loses steam mid-way through, and the only reason I wanted to keep watching was the obligation I felt not only to the actors, but to myself -- I needed to find out how it ended. But it wasn't worth my time, and I don't think it's worth yours either. It's not terrible, but it's not that enjoyable either.

Amusing thriller with an excellent cast. Bounces around from being entertaining to being boring. Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Jeff Daniels, and Neal McDonough really shine.

Very good suspense and thriller. Some of the plot was predictable, and I liked that it broke from the stereotypical portrayal of Muslims and showed different sides to them. I haven't seen many of Don Cheadle's movies, but he was great in this. Guy Pearce's southern accent sounded fine to me, but his British accent came out sometimes, haha.

I like the consept and the score of the movie, but why it's so darn American? Are all color people automaticly a threat for the mighty US and A? Don Cheadle manages to build a pretty good character and the (Steve Martin's!) script has an idea. I enjoyed to watch it, dispute it's black and white plot.

It hits a lot of bad clichés, but it also manages to subvert a few in unexpected ways (at least I wasn't expecting them), so it gets extra points there. Most of the middle third is a bit meh and it's trying so very hard to be Jason Bourne, but it's not horrible.

I really liked this story. Maybe a bit of a mix up of things we've seen before, but in a special way, and nicely done. Don Cheadle is a great actor. I'm glad that we see everything trough another perspective in this film.

It's got a great climax, but the lead-up to it felt really slow and uninteresting. Honestly, there's just been a glut of these Middle-Eastern terrorist thrillers lately and Traitor just doesn't stand out as very unique (despite some engaging performances from Cheadle & Pearce).

Don Cheadle does just fine here in this mixed-bag terrorist thriller mixing 'Bourne' with 'Syriana.' Ultimately it fails to distinguish itself, and it also fails when it comes to engaging its audience - even though I stayed interested, the film doesn't tell its story as well as it ought. Its moral ambiguity is a bit mind-boggling, but it does its best at exposing the darkness and light of Islam. How much of this is credible I don't know, but it's not a bad movie, just not an exciting one.

Pretty good film if you are interested in political movies. Wasn't really what I expected due to the fact that the descriptions I had seen did not say much about the political terrorism involvement of Don Cheadle. He does a brilliant job though!

Hard to believe Steve Martin was one of the writers for this movie. Cheadle is great and everyone else is pretty good, but the movie itself isn't anything amazing. It's one of those films where you watch it and say, "well that was pretty good." Then you forget most everything about it after a week or two. The only thing you are bound to remember is the ending which was very good, albeit rather predictable.

Amusing but forgettable is a great way to describe it. Everyone knows Don Cheadle is awesome and the final act is rather exciting, but there's a lot of down time on the way there and the political / social message (not ALL Muslims are terrorists!) is rather trite and shouldn't really be a revelation to anyone outside of Mississippi.

Tense, enjoyable and completely forgettable. As a popcorn thriller it's a bit slow in places. As the morally ambiguous political statement it thinks it's trying to be, it comes across as a laughably shallow Hollywood/mainstream American view of international conflict.

Predictable as hell but it is a fun enough ride. I don't know why they needed a 15 second establishing shot for every new location though. Nice to see Guy Pearce in something finally.

I recommend this movie based on Don Cheadle's strong performance. He does a great job with his role and he greatly adds to the story. There are a few slow moments but overall this is a good film.

Martin sacrifices tough satire for apolitical piety. Traitor could have been called Patriot, but the latter notion is unfashionable.

Like Taken, Traitor is a decent action-thriller hamstrung by bad race politics. While Taken reveled in its shitty, right-wing xenophobia, Traitor takes an embarrassingly liberal tack. Although its tacit message is the acceptance of Islam as a religion of peace, the subtext is still thoroughly anti-Arab-American, as a black man is cast in the role of the "model Muslim," and the overwhelming majority of the "real terrorists" are Arabs. These deeper problems are never satisfactorily addressed.

Engrossing feature-length Sleeper Cell that would've got a better mark had it not followed a decade of similar efforts. Cheadle plays the lead role well, Pearce is anonymous and underused as the Fed on his trail. If this represents the dramatic ideas Steve Martin's got floating around his head I hope we see more of them.
