Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!

I have a soft spot after reading a Reddit AMA by a writer. Objectively, the rehashed villains/costumes are fresh but the plot is typical Scooby-Doo. The animation is odd, since most of the time they're reminiscent of Where Are You (including dialing back the recent shapeliness of Velma), but when they zoom in, the faces are like Courage the Cowardly Dog or SpongeBob which I didn't like. The warden sounded annoying. Fav scene: driving off in the holey Mystery Machine.

The animation looked cheap and at times hideous. The story itself was pretty decent given the fact that it has been done before. Daphne & Velma aren't handled very well and come across as useless and dumb much like Fred was in the early 00s. The soundtrack was pretty annoying as well this seemed like it was scooby-doo done by the creators of Spongebob or Ren and Stimpy. This was a long 72 minutes.

Velma is gay in this film (not like she wasn't in every other one but she has a romantic interest this time around), and that's all I could ask for. I enjoyed this movie, what can I say?
