Really good effects, but god awful script and story.

Stated off ok, but fell into cliche. Nothing new except for some environmental references

I'm a sucker for Disaster movies, and the trailer sold me on a kaiju disaster movie. It didn't deliver. Overall felt forced, with most characters just doing whatever to move the plot along.

Trollhunter already did it with a lower budget and they actually made it fun.

Rarely do you see a movie quite this void of original story beats, interesting ideas, or a good time.
