Haven't seen the first one, so I can't compare, but this was an epic piece of hot garbage. The story wasn't even that bad, but why is rock the bad guy here? What is it the 50's? And to add insult to injury, of all of the numerous, almost non-stop songs--some of which is classic material--covered in this movie were butchered beyond belief, from keys changed, to important missing instrument pieces, to fucked up rhythms. I can't abide this sloppy musicianship, it's downright offensive.

I know the message technically was diversity winning, but reality was pop music God damn won again!

I absolutely despised the first film, but only merely disliked this one a lot. Looking good for Trolls XVIII.

Better story than the first one. Great cast. Still not much of a story---basically an excuse to jukebox songs that young kids have no connection with. Can't say it's for parents either, since the songs are absolutely changed in lyrics and composition. I love the visual style and the fidelity of the graphics---everything has great texture. I love Rachel Bloom. Fav scenes: pinky promise and people's reaction to it; Mr. Dinkles' near-death experience; Biggie riding Mr. Dinkles into the horizon.

Visually beautiful, but the story was just okay, and they left out the Bergens for some reason.

Some decent guest star voice-acting from the likes of Kelly Clarkson (country trolls), George Clinton (funk trolls) and Ozzy Osbourne (rock trolls). The worlds visited throughout are lushly realized; the movie is indeed a visual treat. If only the lead character, Queen Poppy, wasn't so damn hateable, it would be a real gem of a sequel. A solid effort for a family friendly film.

As far as sequels go, Trolls World Tour has a decent premise. Unfortunately, the complete lack of nuance and the unending parade of songs keep it from being an enjoyable experience. Everything I wrote in the review for the 1st film applies to this one, and even though the cast can sing, their voices are too recognisable (and normal in cadence, speech patterns...) to build the fantasy world presented. Mediocre and generic, and the theme lacks substance.

A lot better than it has any right to be. It's got a soul, some good humor and some fun diversions.

I had not seen the first one, but that didn't really matter as they provided a quick recap. Fans of heavy metal might be offended by the decision to portray them as the bad guys of musical world. That seems a bit old-fashioned as I gather that metal heads are generally a quite liberal bunch. Otherwise it's harmless fun with solid CGI and a nice message. I will probably check out the first one as well.

So, my kids and I BOTH like the original film. Good characters, good plot progression, good music, good development of said characters...but they really capitalized on the music in the sequel. They made it the plot, and in doing so, they watered the plot down, they replaced the Bergens with other villains that aren't as interesting, the casting wasn't what it could've easily been. Just found this one boring...idk. ** Biased Score - 66% | Unbiased Score - 76% | Criticker Prediction - 72% **

A visual feast with a nice message (albeit one that's been used a lot). I enjoyed it.

It's not a perfect movie by any stretch, and there's a chance that my rating will go down with subsequent viewings. However, its desire to maintain happiness and harmony is the best escapism you can ask for out of a movie that's willing to play at your home while other movies and the theaters are currently in limbo. So if you're in need for a new 2020 movie at this time, you can do worse than Trolls World Tour.

Had a few sharp observations on genres of music and how people can view them, and it has a neat little quest that makes this movie actually flow better than the first one. But it's not all that funny, and the characters are hardly deep. Eh. It's okay.

The thing about Trolls, as a series, is that they always look really cool, the felt handicraft look is honestly the reason you watch them, and World Tour has some fantastic visuals all round.

It sends the message that all views and people should be unique and heard. It does so by parading out different musical genres to show us how wildly different we can be. It's cute and fun and likable from the family perspective. Perhaps the message is a little to recognizable and overt but since when has Queen Poppy been about anything other than hugs and happiness? It stays true to her character and Anna Kendrick is the perfect person to boldly embody a sentiment we need more in today's world.

This movie has the exact same vibes as those weird phone game ads that are like “help pregnant Queen Elsa deliver her baby!”

It is better than the first movie because it tells the differences through musical genres. Especially when you think of the new generation kids. Of course, many kinds of music mean many kinds of trolls. Endless kinds of toy, marketing shits bla bla

There are things this movie does better than the first, and there are things that it does worse. The story is more coherent, but still just doesn't fully work the best. The visuals were even better than the first. The music had more diversity, but the "trollifying" of some of the songs they used was pretty poor. I also felt that characters were just not developed super great and Poppy kind of came off as just really annoying the whole movie. So like the first it winds up an okay family movie.

The music was arguably as good (or as bad, whichever way you feel about jukebox musicals) as in the first one and I pretty much liked all of the cast. Visuals were good and story a bit meh, but serviceable. HOWEVER. Who dun write Poppy and Branch for this movie? I felt that besides them being heavily sidelined, they felt off. Like they had been written by a new scriptwriter who really didn't care for them. Poppy's optimism was turned into naivety and Branch's brooding into teen angsting.

Troller arasındaki hesaplaşma. 6 müzik türü trollerin birbirlerinden ayrılması sonucu, pop troller ile rock troller arasındaki hesaplaşma. Filmin rengarenk görselliği ile beğeni topluyor. Kaliteli seslendirme kadrosu da izlettiriyor. Fakat senaryo sıkıntısı çok büyük. Bir nevi savaş çığırtkanlığı yapan saçma challenge. Filmin sonunda, hepimiz kardeşiz. Rock'n Roll baby. I Love You Pop. One More Time. Yok kalsın.

Wheezy animated movie is strange in that I'm not certain who it's aimed at - even moreso a messy and aggressive collage of musical numbers than the first film, the songs lyrics have been "troll-ified" but the songs themselves are golden oldies even for this near 40 year old viewer (if catering to the under-10s, maybe include a few songs from this century?) The cast do their best, and Kendrick and Timberlake's dulcet tones are appreciated, but this is likely to be a tiresome bore for most.

Kids can like it. Plot-wise, it was old news, and the characters from the first seem to lose in depth. The visuals and creativity in the designs were still something to look out for though. Some of the tone shifts, subtle or not, could give you whiplash, like the song about being born to die or the caterpillar thing with a death wish. The part that reads "lol actually we're wary because you keep stealing from our culture/erasing us..." was good shit even if it doesn't last in the movie
