Though mostly a dark and dismal movie, the performances and overall plot are good with a few twists.

Carrey, why, just why?

I love the in-your-face bravado the film opens with. If you feel disgusted by the first minute, you won't last through the movie. Appreciated Carrey's work here even though I was somewhat baffled by the decision to make a cast of 50 Polish people speak English in a Polish movie set in Poland rather than make the lead speak Polish. Since this is such an European styled film, even the language won't help ease American viewers into it, so why make it English? Third act became hard to follow.
