Tuff Turf

I was going to give this a 0, my usual "N/A" rating, but I feel obligated to give it a real score since I'm the only person here to write a review of this beast. Tuff Turf is the most beautiful and entertaining trainwreck you'll ever see in your life. Usually when you write a script and it has no idea of what it wants to be or the direction it wants to take, you do a few extensive rewrites. Tuff Turf just took it right on into production.

sometimes it's a circus, sometimes no one from the 80s would have been caught looking or acting this way, sometimes it goes too hardcore for the melodrama of it. The bad guys keep seeming like little bitches even after committing various serious violent crimes

Yeah, definitely messy as already stated, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't quite entertained by this. It is so 80s in probably the worst way, with the expected visual style and numerous dance/music numbers. But then it tries to be a high school drama and a gang movie at the same time? Then there's the last act, which has some completely ridiculous action going on. There's some unintentional comedy like Robert Downey rollin' in with dogs, and... well, it's fun.

I will rate this 80s movie a little higher because it had an interesting soundtrack and used music differently, as well as some nice camera shots. The plot, not so much.

All kinds of teen shenanigans. It's a complete mess, but a pretty enjoyable one.
